Your roster, your location, your messages — here's exactly what we hold, who sees it, and how to get it back or get rid of it.

What we collect

Account details: email address and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), plus your confirmation that you're 18 or over.
Profile details: name, age, gender, occupation, roster pattern, shift start and finish times, timezone, camp or depot location, bio, photos, and your preferred contact windows.
Approximate location: if you allow it, a coarse latitude and longitude so we can show distance. You can decline and still use the app.
Activity: likes, matches, messages, blocks, reports, and anonymous reading stats for Real Talk stories.
Billing: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we use it

To run your account, match you with people whose swings and home time line up with yours, hold notifications until you're off shift, calculate distance, process membership payments, and keep the community safe by acting on reports and blocks.

Who can see what

Other members see your profile, roster, shift window, and approximate distance — never your exact coordinates, email address, or billing details. Your roster visibility and contact-window settings control how much schedule detail is shown. Messages are visible only to you and the person you matched with, plus our team where a report is made.

Sharing with others

We don't sell your data. We share only what's needed with the providers that run the app: our cloud hosting and database provider, our payment processor, and our email delivery provider. Where the law requires it, or where there's a serious safety risk, we may share information with authorities.

How long we keep it

We keep your profile while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your profile, photos, and messages. We may retain a minimal record of blocks and reports so removed members can't simply come back, and billing records for as long as tax law requires.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with row-level access rules so members can only read their own data and what's meant to be public. Photos live in a private storage bucket accessed through short-lived links. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password.

Notifications and cookies

If you enable push notifications, your browser or device gives us permission to send alerts; you can turn that off any time in your device settings. We use local storage for your session and a small anonymous reading identifier — no advertising trackers.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile, turn location off, tighten your contact windows, download a copy of your data, or delete your account. To make a privacy request or raise a concern, email railandfifosinglesaustralia.com@gmail.com. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Adults only

Roster Hearts is for people 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete such accounts when we find them.
